Ogun Assembly Chief Whip Withdraws from APC Primary Citing Governor’s Lack of Support

In Ijebu Ode, Hon. Bakare Omolola Olanrewaju Serifat announced her decision to withdraw from the upcoming APC House of Assembly primary in Ogun State. She said Governor Dapo Abiodun did not back her bid for a second term. She explained that stepping aside would prevent division and tension within the party. The Chief Whip said she arrived at this conclusion after extensive consultations with party leaders and loyal supporters. Hon. Bakare reaffirmed her loyalty to APC ideals and thanked traditional and religious leaders, market associations, youth and women groups for their support. She urged party members to remain calm and steadfast as the APC prepares for future elections.
