Bereaved Man, Whose Fiancée Died in Truck Accident, Passes Away
Loveday Ezukuse, whose fiancée Immaculate Emife Okochu was killed by a truck in Ajah, Lagos, in August 2020, has died six years after the tragedy. Immaculate was on her way to work at a major ice cream company when the fatal accident happened just weeks before their wedding. Friends say Loveday never recovered from the loss and battled depression for years. Despite offers of help, he withdrew from social media and kept to himself. Some close to him suggest he may have taken his own life, though his family has not officially confirmed the cause. Loveday will be laid to rest on Friday, May 22. He leaves behind a young daughter and a community still reeling from this double tragedy.
