Delta Police Nab Man Who Bought Beretta Pistol on Snapchat for N450,000
The Delta State Police Command arrested Igbunu Evans in Sapele for illegal possession of a Beretta pistol. SP Bright Edafe displayed the recovered weapon, magazine and two 9mm rounds. He warned that such firearms are restricted to security agencies and highlighted a rise in social media arms sales. Evans admitted he ordered the pistol from a “smoke vendor” on Snapchat for N450,000 and confessed to internet fraud spanning three to four years. The police noted that fraud, cultism and gun possession often feed into one another. The suspect is now in custody and will be charged in a Delta State court.
