Sirika on Arise TV: Buhari Left a Flourishing Economy and Education Sector

Former Aviation Minister Hadi Sirika said in a recent Arise TV interview that Nigeria’s economy was on the rise when President Muhammadu Buhari left office in May 2023. He noted that both the economic and education sectors were in a much better state at the time. Sirika added that, while he is not an economist, his experience in government led him to believe the country was thriving under Buhari’s leadership. He also clarified that he is neither President Buhari nor President Tinubu, so he cannot fully evaluate the policies they pursued. Buhari served as Nigeria’s president from May 29, 2015 to May 29, 2023, and passed away on July 13, 2025.
