Afrobeats Star Qing Madi Alleges Former Label Boss Forged Her Signature
Afrobeats sensation Qing Madi has accused Joy Tongo, CEO of JTon Music, of forging her signature. She claims her former label sabotaged her career after she defeated a $2 million lawsuit in court. Several tracks from her new album “Barely Legal” were removed from streaming platforms. Qing Madi says she and her team proved the takedowns were illegal and restored her music. In a livestream, the singer lamented that Tongo “stole from me” and went to extreme lengths to take down her work. Joy Tongo has responded by calling the allegations false.
