FG Bans 18 Foreign Universities and Unapproved Study Centres in Nigeria

The Federal Government has warned Nigerians against 18 foreign institutions and unapproved local study centres accused of operating through online linkages, fraudulent campuses or unauthorised affiliations. The institutions named include EC-Council USA, Ikeja Study Centre; Irish University Business School, London; Houdegbe North American University campuses; Columbus University, UK; Tiu International University, UK; Pebbles University, UK; London External Studies; Concept College/Universities, London; Pacific Western University, Denver, Colorado, with an Owerri centre; Evangel University of America, Lagos Centre; University of Applied Sciences and Management, Port Novo; and Volta University College, Ho, Ghana. Prospective students should verify the accreditation and recognition status of any institution or study centre before paying fees or enrolling.
