NCC Appeals to Tinubu for Incentives to Boost Local Smartphone Manufacturing

The chairman of the NCC board pledged to secure presidential incentives for investors ready to build smartphone factories in Nigeria. Manufacturers that begin factory construction before November can expect government support and policy backing. The NCC will help connect serious investors with the right regulatory framework. Improved device regulations and financing models are also planned to curb counterfeits, enhance quality and make smartphones more affordable.
