Ibadan Travel Agent Faces Charges in N10.6m Pilgrim Visa Scam
A 36-year-old travel agent appeared before an Iyaganku Chief Magistrates’ Court in Ibadan over an alleged N10.6 million visa fraud. He is charged with conspiracy, fraud, stealing and breach of peace after a client paid for Mecca visas for 2026 pilgrims. The accused pleaded not guilty, and the prosecutor said he converted the funds instead of securing the visas. Bail was granted at N5 million with two sureties. One must be a blood relative and the other must present three years of tax clearance. The case is adjourned to May 19 for mention.
