Three Young Men Killed, Teenage Girl Wounded in Barkin Ladi Gunmen Attack
A shooting at a popular relaxation spot in Barkin Ladi LGA of Plateau State left three young men dead and a teenage girl injured. Security reports say gunmen suspected to be Fulani militias opened fire around 7:58 p.m. on July 4. Troops from Sector 4, Operation Enduring Peace, arrived at Rantiya community and found the bodies of three male victims. The injured girl was rushed to Damlak Clinic while the corpses were taken to the General Hospital in Barkin Ladi. Authorities say a manhunt is under way to track down the assailants. Investigations and security patrols have been stepped up to restore calm and prevent further violence in the area.
