Support Peter Obi for Vision, Not Personal Rewards

I thought I’d say I’d stopped backing Peter Obi for the 2027 race. Actually, I haven’t. Too many Nigerians support politicians hoping for personal favors. That mindset drove Tinubu’s administration to reward sycophants. We ended up with incompetence and corruption. Choose leaders you believe will transform Nigeria, not those who promise personal rewards. Peter Obi won’t hand out favors to every supporter. His goal is a better Nigeria for all. If you back Obi just to be recognised, you’ll be disappointed. Support him for his ideas, or quietly back someone else. Nigeria’s progress depends on vision, not on chasing benefits.

What do you think motivates so many supporters to expect personal favors rather than focusing on Peter Obi's vision?

Could it be that supporters prioritise immediate gains over long-term plans because they've grown weary of unfulfilled promises?

It's striking how past administrations rewarded cronies instead of competent leaders, fueling corruption and undermining public trust in governance.

I think characterising all past governments as favouring cronies oversimplifies things. There were capable appointees whose work went under the radar.

I'm not convinced that all supporters hope for handouts; some genuinely back Obi's policies and long-term reforms.

Make we focus on candidate's track record and policy plans first, then decide if dem deserve our vote in 2027.
