NAPS Calls for Nationwide Rollout of EDON AI-Powered Digital Classrooms in Polytechnics
The National Association of Polytechnic Students has urged the Federal Government, NBTE, COHEADS and TETFund to include the EDON Digital Classroom Initiative in intervention programmes for all polytechnics. They say AI-driven boards, 3D simulation software and smart analytics will modernise TVET and boost practical learning. NAPS shared feedback from Colleges of Education where EDON is already deployed. Students and lecturers praised its impact on classroom effectiveness, teacher productivity and research engagement. The association argues that TETFund intervention is the most sustainable way to scale this technology nationwide. NAPS appealed to the current administration to adopt EDON under its Renewed Hope Agenda. They stressed that digital classrooms will produce more employable, innovation-driven graduates and align Nigeria’s polytechnic education with Industry 4.0 standards.
