Interface Africa Founder Secures Oxford Skoll Scholarship
Al Amin Idris, CEO of Interface Africa, has been awarded the prestigious Skoll Scholarship at Oxford’s Saïd Business School. He joins a select group of social entrepreneurs recognized for driving solutions to pressing social and environmental challenges. Interface Africa builds market access infrastructure for underserved communities, combining data intelligence, local distribution networks, and payment platforms. To date, the venture has enabled clean energy and financial services for tens of thousands of homes and businesses while unlocking millions in financing for underserved areas. Idris described the scholarship as a milestone for African innovation on the global stage. As a Skoll Scholar, he will pursue an MBA at Oxford, deepen his leadership skills, and return home ready to scale infrastructure that brings opportunity to millions across Africa.
