50-Year-Old Man Arrested for Allegedly Raping 9-Year-Old in Bauchi’s Katagum LGA
The Bauchi State Police Command has arrested a 50-year-old man, Muhammadu Audu, for allegedly raping a nine-year-old girl in Bulkachuwa, Katagum Local Government Area. According to the command’s statement, the suspect lured the girl from her hawking spot on June 14 and took her to an unfinished building. He then threatened to kill her with a knife if she told her parents. The victim’s father reported the matter the next day, and the girl was taken to the Primary Health Care Centre in Bulkachuwa for medical treatment. The Commissioner of Police has ordered a thorough investigation and reaffirmed the command’s zero tolerance for sexual violence against children.
