CAF Overturns Samuel Eto’o’s Four-Match Ban and $20,000 Fine
CAF has overturned the four-match stadium ban and $20,000 fine previously imposed on Cameroon football legend Samuel Eto'o. The FECAFOOT president was sanctioned over alleged misconduct during Cameroon’s Africa Cup of Nations match against Morocco. CAF’s disciplinary body said he breached rules on sportsmanship and integrity. FECAFOOT appealed the decision, and CAF’s Appeals Committee has now cancelled both the ban and the fine with immediate effect. Eto'o can resume his duties without restriction as Cameroon prepare for upcoming international competitions.
