Assa–Obile Gas Pipeline Passes Hydrotest, Nears Commissioning in Imo
The 12-inch, 28-kilometre Assa–Obile gas pipeline in Ohaji/Egbema, Imo State, has completed its hydrostatic test and is moving towards final commissioning. Built by Oilserv, the pipeline links the 300 MMscf/d Assa Gas Processing Facility with the Obile Processing Facility. Construction included crossings beneath 15 major roads and work through the Orashi River and surrounding swamp terrain. When operational, the pipeline is expected to transport up to 250 million standard cubic feet of gas daily. It could improve gas supply for power generation, industries and other businesses across Nigeria.
