CPTA Urges Due Process in Allegations Against Chief of Staff Gbajabiamila

The Center for Peace Transparency and Accountability has called on Nigerians to allow lawful investigations to run their course amid recent claims against President Tinubu’s Chief of Staff, Femi Gbajabiamila. The group stressed that media narratives and public opinion must not override constitutional principles of fairness. It noted that no competent court or anti-corruption agency has found the Chief of Staff guilty in relation to the alleged Presidential Foreign Intervention Promotion Council. CPTA warned that premature judgment in the court of public opinion risks eroding trust in democratic institutions and weakening genuine anti-corruption efforts. It urged media outlets to verify claims before publication and citizens to uphold the presumption of innocence.

What might be the risks if public opinion sways investigations before facts about Gbajabiamila's case are confirmed?

I totally agree—jumping guns on investigations fit no one. Let facts lead, make sure Gbajabiamila get fair hearing first, abi?

Nigerians should track official progress and push for transparent updates from investigators rather than rely solely on partisan reports.
