Peter Obi vs Goodluck Jonathan: Will Recycled Leadership End Nigeria’s Hunger?
Many young Nigerians now talk of bringing Goodluck Jonathan back as the new idol to tackle hunger. This trend shows how people only value leaders after they leave office and reveals a desperate lack of choice. Yet both Jonathan and Obi share similar track records to past presidents. Their scorecards resemble President Tinubu’s more than they differ. I believe idolising any of them simply recycles policies that have failed before. Instead of praising personalities, Nigerians should demand clear plans and results. The leader who will truly deliver may not exist yet. A healthy political competition matters more than choosing between Jonathan and Obi.
