Why an Obi Supporter Credits Tinubu’s Subsidy Removal for Averting Economic Collapse
I’m an Obi supporter, but I also recognise President Tinubu’s bold move on fuel subsidies. Subsidy costs once outpaced our earnings. We borrowed heavily just to cover claims, some unverifiable. We even subsidised neighbouring countries, and debt soared. All funds released by subsidy cancellation follow the constitutional sharing formula. The president cannot unilaterally redirect federation money. We still face challenges. I urge the senate to probe the NNPC over unaccounted funds. Every naira has a trace. I welcome nuanced, fact-based discussion.
