Enenche Warns Against Religious Dominance Claims, Says Christianity Is Not Secondary in Nigeria

Dr. Paul Enenche of Dunamis International Gospel Centre has cautioned against religious comments that could deepen tension in Nigeria. He was responding to remarks attributed to Islamic cleric Sheikh Sani Yahaya Jingir, who reportedly described Nigeria as a Muslim nation. Enenche said Christianity is neither inferior nor subordinate to any faith in the country. He argued that Christians are present across all regions, including northern states, and should not be taken for granted because of the Church's commitment to peace. The pastor questioned claims of religious dominance without credible census data. He urged authorities to address statements capable of inciting violence, while calling on Nigerians to uphold equal rights, freedom of worship and peaceful coexistence.
