Kano Police Arrest Five Over Alleged Armed Robbery, Recover Pistol and Ammunition

Police in Kano have arrested five suspects over alleged armed robbery and motorcycle theft in Jajaye village, Rogo Local Government Area. The command said the arrests followed intelligence reports and that the suspects allegedly confessed to stealing about five motorcycles and other valuables. On the same day, officers at Rijiyar Zaki Motor Park recovered a Tokarev pistol and 48 rounds of ammunition from a parcel. A suspect was arrested and allegedly told investigators he was transporting the weapon to another state. Police said efforts were ongoing to identify others linked to the alleged arms supply chain. In a separate operation in Gaya, police intercepted two men allegedly in possession of a stolen cow and ram. Two additional suspects were later arrested and charged to court. The Kano Police Command said it would continue intelligence-led and community-based policing across the state.
