The outcome was announced at a media briefing at the Ilorin headquarters on July 21, 2026, underscoring the Corps’ resolve to deliver justice in gender-based violence cases. Between January and June 2026, the NSCDC handled over 100 gender-related matters across the state. The Gender Unit recorded 36 domestic violence reports, 19 child custody disputes and 38 child abandonment cases. Of these, many have been resolved, while ongoing investigations aim to protect vulnerable victims. Commandant Abbas Mohammed highlighted nine recent abductions, with four victims safely reunited.
