I shared a message I received from a younger man begging me for money. I was in Ghana for personal travel and had posted photos from the trip. He wrote: “I asked for help but you said you had no money. Yet every week you’re traveling from one country to another. Someday your funds will run out and you’ll return to us.” I replied that I’m not a politician but an ordinary citizen who does his best to assist people. When I can’t meet every request, I often face the same criticism from those I’ve helped.
