Former Chief of Army Staff, Lt.-Gen. Tukur Buratai (rtd), paid a condolence visit to the family of former Finance Minister and Nigeria’s former High Commissioner to the United Kingdom, Alhaji Abubakar Alhaji, in Sokoto. Buratai prayed for the repose of the late elder statesman’s soul and for strength for the bereaved family. He also visited the Sultan of Sokoto, Muhammadu Sa’ad Abubakar III, to offer condolences. Former Army Chief Lt.-Gen. Faruk Yahaya (rtd), Brig.-Gen. S. K. Usman (rtd), Dr. Nurudeen Isah and Alhaji Ibrahim Nasiru accompanied Buratai during the visits.
