ADC Suspends Sale of Nomination Forms Ahead of Court Ruling

The African Democratic Congress has halted all sales of Expression of Interest and Nomination Forms until the Federal High Court decides on a pending case. The Board of Trustees meeting in Abuja warned that anyone buying forms now does so at their own risk. It also praised the Supreme Court’s recent judgment as a milestone for democracy. Members loyal to different factions are urged to unite under Hon. Nafiu Bala Gombe’s leadership. The party has directed the formation of state caretaker committees and called for a Mini National Convention to fill recent vacancies. This move aims to ensure ADC’s full participation in the upcoming general elections and the emergence of credible candidates at every level.

I hear you, this halt might erode public confidence and give rivals ammo to question ADC's readiness.

Do you mean how this suspension might affect ADC's internal unity or its public image?

I doubt this pause will tilt the race significantly; most voters care more about policy than timing of form sales.

It's surprising the party warned buyers they risk loss, yet still praised board members without clarifying legal risks.

I'm not convinced delaying nominations will actually strengthen internal democracy; it might just stall grassroots momentum.

Interested candidates should monitor court updates closely and hold off on any form purchases until a clear verdict emerges.
