US First Lady Melania Trump has called on ABC to dismiss late-night host Jimmy Kimmel after he aired a monologue she labels hateful and divisive. In a statement, she criticised Kimmel’s parody of the White House Correspondents’ Dinner, saying his jokes about her marriage and personal life crossed the line from humour into political division. Melania also accused ABC of shielding Kimmel from consequences and demanded the network hold him accountable. Neither Jimmy Kimmel nor ABC has issued a response.
