St. John Vianney Science College Crowned Best Private School at AMTY Awards
St. John Vianney Science College in Ukwulu was named Best Private School of the Year at the fifth Anambra Man of the Year Awards in Awka. The honour recognises outstanding contributions to education and community development in the South East. The school has built a reputation for excellence on national and international stages. Recent wins include the National Head Girls Competition, the Nationwide Inter-Secondary Schools E-Debate Championship, and the inaugural UK–Nigeria Debate Championship. Two students will also represent Nigeria at this year’s World Schools Debating Championships in Kenya. Receiving the award, Rev. Gerald Ogbulikpe dedicated it to the vision of the proprietor, Rev. Fr. Emmanuel Obimma, and to the commitment of staff and students. He pledged continued investment in academic excellence, leadership development, innovation, technology and character formation. The AMTY Awards also celebrated leaders across public service, business, education and entertainment, honouring figures such as Archbishop Valerian Okeke and Fidelity Bank’s Mrs. Amaka Onwughalu.
