Ex-Power Minister’s Sister and 12-Year-Old Twins Abducted in Ibadan
Residents of the Challenge–Elewura area in Ibadan were thrown into panic when gunmen kidnapped Mrs Olaide Busayo Adegoke John-Paul and her 12-year-old twin sons, Peter and Paul, at about 7:30 a.m. while she was taking them to school. The attackers whisked the family away to an unknown location, prompting neighbours to alert the police and other security agencies. Authorities have since launched a rescue operation. The family of the former Minister of Power has appealed for calm as the Oyo State Police Command deploys resources to secure their release and arrest those responsible.
