Anambra APC Members Protest Alleged N1BN Mismanagement by State Chairman
Local APC chapters in Anambra State have taken to the streets demanding the removal of Senator Emma Anosike over alleged financial recklessness. Party treasurer and Renewed Hope Ambassadors coordinator, Sir Arinzechukwu Awogu, claims that over ₦1 billion meant for fund-raising, congresses and delegate participation was misappropriated within four months of Anosike’s tenure. Awogu says party funds were diverted through the chairman’s personal account, bypassing official treasury channels. He describes arbitrary reshuffling of elected local government executives, collusion with opposition parties to field weak or no candidates, and repeated refusal to account for major fund-raising events in Abuja and Awka. Citing party constitution violations and anti-party activities, the statement warns of imminent party implosion unless Anosike is removed. Stakeholders are urged to convene urgently and restore proper leadership ahead of the 2027 elections.
