The Power of Confession

Christians often battle stubborn sins despite fasting and prayer. Proverbs 28:13 teaches that open confession leads to freedom. During Bible school, nightly disturbances from a neighbour triggered a struggle with lust. Carrying this burden, I finally confessed to a trusted friend. Just like James 5:16 says, sharing our struggles lifts the weight. When the neighbour revealed a dark spiritual assignment, we took her for a deliverance. That moment proved how confession and accountability break sin’s grip. God gave His Church the authority to forgive (John 20:23). When we confess, He is faithful to forgive (1 John 1:9). May we humble ourselves, confess openly, and experience true freedom.
