AKSU Opens 2026 Recruitment for Academic Staff Across Multiple Faculties

Akwa Ibom State University (AKSU) is recruiting academic staff for Professor, Senior Lecturer, Lecturer I, Lecturer II and Assistant Lecturer positions. Vacancies are available across several faculties, including Agriculture, Arts, Education, Health Sciences, Law, Pharmacy, Physical Sciences, Social Sciences, Planning and Environmental Studies, and the College of Medicine and Surgery. Applicants must have a relevant first degree, computer literacy and professional registration where required. Requirements vary by rank. Professor applicants need a PhD, at least 10 years of teaching and research experience, a strong publication record and evidence of research leadership. Other roles range from PhD holders to candidates with a second-class upper degree and teaching potential for Assistant Lecturer roles. Required documents include an application letter, detailed CV, academic and professional certificates, NYSC certificate, proof of age, relevant professional memberships and publications where applicable. Referees must send confidential reports directly to the Registrar. Applications should be submitted in a sealed envelope stating the position and department applied for, addressed to the Registrar of Akwa Ibom State University, Ikot Akpaden, Mkpat Enin, Akwa Ibom State. Applications close six weeks after 5 August 2026. Only shortlisted candidates will be invited for interview.
