JAMB 2026 UTME: New Exam Schedule and Reporting Times

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board has adjusted reporting times for the 2026 UTME to ease candidate stress and reduce congestion at CBT centres. Session one candidates should now arrive by 7:00 a.m., start at 8:30 a.m., and finish at 10:30 a.m. Subsequent sessions follow at 9:00 a.m., 11:00 a.m., and 2:00 p.m. with corresponding start and end times. On Fridays, the third session will be adjusted for religious observance. There is no need to reprint your exam slip. Your current slip remains valid. Arrive at least 30 minutes before your reporting time to avoid missing the exam.

Adjusting reporting times to 7:00 a.m. might ease hall congestion, but it could also add extra travel stress for those living far away.

Pushing candidates to arrive at 7:00 a.m. just shifts peak traffic earlier without addressing technology glitches or power issues at testing centres.

Make sure say you show by 7:00 a.m., map your journey ahead, carry water, and rest well night before exam.
