Creating Opportunities for the Next Generation to Be Courageous

Daily devotional for 16 August 2026. Caleb had already won Hebron at age 85, yet he created an opportunity for a younger person to show courage. By offering Achsah’s hand in marriage to whoever captured Kirjath Sepher, he challenged the next generation to rise. Othniel accepted the challenge and later became Israel’s first deliverer. Our greatest legacy may not be only the battles we win. It can also be the opportunities we create for younger colleagues, children, mentees and team members to grow in courage. Like Caleb, we should open doors that help others discover their strength. Prayer: Father, thank You for the victories You have given me. Give me the heart to create meaningful opportunities for others to be bold and fulfil their purpose, in Jesus’ name.
