Iran’s Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei declared that Tehran will avenge his father’s death and all those killed in the war. He issued this statement after the new leadership announced a ceasefire. Khamenei stressed that Iran does not seek further conflict but will defend its rights. He said control of the Strait of Hormuz will now enter a new phase under Iran’s management. He added that Tehran will demand full compensation for every damage caused, including blood money for martyrs and support for the wounded.
