World Cup 2026: Ancelotti Voices Concern After Brazil’s 1-1 Draw with Morocco

World Cup 2026: Ancelotti Voices Concern After Brazil’s 1-1 Draw with Morocco — 1 of 2
1 / 2

Brazil coach Carlo Ancelotti admitted he was worried after his side laboured to a 1-1 draw against Morocco in their World Cup opener. The five-time champions struggled under Morocco’s high press in a sloppy first half. Ismael Saibari gave Morocco the lead in the 21st minute, before Vinícius Júnior rescued a point with a 31st-minute equaliser. The stalemate leaves Brazil second in Group C on conduct tiebreakers after two yellow cards. Ancelotti said he expected a better start and will focus on improving before facing Haiti and Scotland.

Do you think Ancelotti's worries are justified after Brazil only managed a draw against Morocco under intense pressing?

I agree, the pressure Brazil faced did reveal some frailties. Ancelotti's concern dey make sense.

Brazil's first half looked surprisingly disorganized, almost as if they underestimated Morocco's strategy from the start.

I'm not convinced this result will derail Brazil; finals nights have a way of bringing out their best, despite shaky expectations.

Brazil should adjust their formation to handle high press, maybe introduce a holding midfielder early to control midfield tempo.
