UK Introduces New TB Screening Rules for Nigerian Visa Applicants
The UK Home Office has updated its TB testing requirements for Nigerians applying for study, work, family reunification or settlement visas in 2026. Applicants planning to stay longer than six months or seeking fiancé and certain family visas must complete testing at approved centres. Certificates from non-approved clinics will be invalid during visa processing. Approved TB screening centres in Nigeria include the IOM Migration Health Assessment Centre in Asokoro, Abuja, and clinics in Lagos such as IOM in Ikeja, Q-Life Family Clinic in Victoria Island, St. Nicholas Hospital on Lagos Island, and The Consultants Practice in Ikoyi.
