If I Were President: My Plan to Transform Nigeria
First, I’ll deport all Fulani to their countries of origin and strengthen immigration laws to seal our borders. I’ll restructure the armed forces with special operations units and a high-tech surveillance division. State police will also be created in each state, supported by local vigilantes and hunters to tackle kidnappers and bandits. A national ID database will track every citizen from birth, linking SIM registration, bank accounts, arrests, and voting. I’ll set up a permanent internal audit agency to monitor all public funds. Government spending will be slashed by cutting allowances, convoys, and unnecessary staff. No official can earn or own more than they declare, and ownership of foreign assets will be banned while in office. Corruption cases will lead to asset forfeiture. I’ll scrap JAMB and replace it with a graduate empowerment scheme offering seed loans tied to accountability. A price regulation committee will curb arbitrary inflation. Farming will get heavy investment through government-owned mechanized farms that employ thousands and sell staples at subsidized rates. New agencies will handle roads, waste, transport, water, and power, using solar, hydro, and nuclear energy. I’ll reform our electoral system with live vote monitoring and instant transmission to flag fraud. Gift-giving during campaigns will be classified as bribery. Terrorists and kidnappers will face the death penalty with no clemency. Elected officials must step down before re-election, and no one over 65 can run for any office.
