Enugu State Denies Reports of Bandit Attack in Awgu

Enugu State government has dismissed reports of a Fulani bandit attack in Awgu LGA as false and misleading. Commissioner for Information and Communication Malachy Agbo said no such incident occurred in Awgu or anywhere else in the state. He described online claims of lives lost as deliberate fabrications designed to spread panic. The government urges residents to rely only on verified sources and ignore unverified rumours. Anyone found spreading false information will face legal consequences. Governor Peter Mbah’s administration remains committed to ensuring peace and security across Enugu State.
