Zenith Bank Opens Côte d’Ivoire Subsidiary to Strengthen Pan-African Reach
Zenith Bank has officially launched its first subsidiary in Côte d’Ivoire, marking its debut in Francophone West Africa. Approved by regulators in December 2025, the new branch in Abidjan will offer corporate banking, trade finance, and structured financial solutions tailored for regional and global businesses. CEO Adaora Umeoji says the expansion will simplify cross-border transactions and create fresh opportunities for Nigerian firms operating in West Africa. This move into Côte d’Ivoire’s robust economy is part of Zenith’s wider strategy to build a pan-African network, with plans already underway to explore markets in Central Africa.
