Oba Oseni Isiaka Adu: From Master Craftsman to Alale of Akungba Akoko
Kabiyesi Oba Oseni Isiaka Adu was formally installed as the Alale of Akungba Akoko on July 30, 2025, ushering in a new era of leadership and development. Born on October 1, 1960, he discovered an early passion for furniture-making. After completing primary school, he apprenticed in Ilorin and built a reputation as a skilled craftsman. He went on to work as a foreman at Ajaokuta Steel Rolling Company, led the Students’ Union at Government Technical College, and earned a B.Ed in Building Technology. He taught for decades and retired in October 2020 as Head of Department at Adekunle Ajasin University’s technical faculty. A committed community leader, he served in youth associations across Akungba and overcame legal challenges to his appointment. He now pledges to guide his people with wisdom, integrity, and a heart for service.
