Super Eagles Defender Benjamin Fredrick Signs New Deal and Joins Brentford First Team
Premier League side Brentford have promoted 21-year-old Nigerian international Benjamin Fredrick to their first-team squad ahead of the 2026/27 campaign. The centre-back signed a four-year contract running until 2030, with an option for an additional year. He spent last season impressing in the B team and earned his promotion during pre-season under coach Keith Andrews. Andrews praised Fredrick’s potential and experience with the Super Eagles, noting his key role in Nigeria’s World Cup qualifying matches. Fredrick’s journey began at Simoiben Football Academy in Kaduna, included spells with Abubakar Bukola Saraki FC and Nasarawa United, before joining Brentford B on loan in 2023 and securing a permanent move in April 2024.
