Lagos Allocates N1.4 Trillion for Roads, Housing and Power in 2026 Budget
The Lagos State Government has set aside N1.467 trillion for critical infrastructure in its 2026 capital plan. The allocation is part of a N4.444 trillion budget aimed at boosting growth and improving services across the state. Key projects include the Opebi-Mende Link Bridge and Phase IIB of the Eti-Osa/Lekki/Epe Expressway to ease traffic congestion and enhance connectivity. Housing schemes across Sangotedo, Epe, Ibeshe and Badagry will target low- and middle-income earners. Additional funding covers food security hubs with N87 billion, N35 billion for tourism upgrades at Badagry Point of No Return and the Lagos Heritage Centre, and N112 billion for energy and power projects. The budget also allocates N33 billion for digital transformation to automate services and improve ease of doing business.
