Gunmen Kill Two Commuters on Okoloke-Isanlu Road in Kogi

Two travelers, Daro and Daniel, were shot dead by three armed men on the Okoloke-Isanlu-Esa road in Yagba West Local Government Area of Kogi State on the morning of Tuesday, June 23, 2026. Eyewitnesses say the assailants opened fire without any attempt at kidnapping. Survivors fled into nearby bushes before troops from the 12 Brigade in Okoloke arrived following distress calls. The military unit secured the scene and assisted the injured. There were no reports of abductions during or after the attack.
