Sokoto Alert: Boko Haram Training Camp for Turji’s Fighters Discovered

Sokoto Alert: Boko Haram Training Camp for Turji’s Fighters Discovered

A local security leader in Sokoto State has warned that bandit kingpin Bello Turji is teaming up with Boko Haram to train new fighters. According to Bashir Altine Guyawa Isa of Rundunar Adalci, intelligence shows a camp has been set up along the Sokoto-Zamfara border. Recruits are said to be indoctrinated, armed and readied for future attacks on communities. Isa alleges Boko Haram members provide training and logistics support, a move that could make bandit networks in the North-West more dangerous and harder to contain. He urged security agencies to act swiftly, dismantle the camp and prevent an escalation that might target high-profile sites and individuals.

Has anyone nearby noticed increased patrols or suspicious movements along the Sokoto-Zamfara border since this training camp news surfaced?

I've noticed extra checkpoints along that stretch too, looks like they're tightening security around Sokoto-Zamfara border.

It seems odd that a major terror group would set up camp so close to armed bandits without being detected earlier by security agencies.

True, odd as it sounds, but maybe security was spread too thin to notice until now.

I'm not convinced this report alone justifies widespread alarm until we see follow-up evidence or confirmation from multiple independent sources.

Local communities should organize neighborhood watches and immediately report any unusual gatherings near the border to nearby security units for timely intervention.
