Kano Hisbah Board Bans Mobile Movie Downloads to Uphold Islamic Morals

Kano Hisbah Board Bans Mobile Movie Downloads to Uphold Islamic Morals

The Kano State Hisbah Board has prohibited the downloading and distribution of movies via mobile phones across all 44 local government areas. Deputy Commander General Dr. Mujahid Aminuddeen said the ban responds to complaints about operators circulating pornographic and otherwise offensive videos that violate Islamic teachings and local cultural values. Hisbah personnel have been mobilised to conduct patrols and enforce the directive. Anyone found in breach may face legal action under Kano State law. Affected operators are urged to seek lawful alternatives and avoid content deemed harmful to youth and societal morals.
