US Strikes 90 Iranian Military Targets in Overnight Blitz, Trump Says Iran ‘Begged’ for Deal

The US military carried out strikes on 90 Iranian military sites along Iran’s southern coast overnight, marking a second consecutive wave of attacks. President Donald Trump told reporters that Tehran “called a little while ago” to seek a peace deal after renewed bombardment. The strikes followed tanker attacks in the Strait of Hormuz and the collapse of a fragile ceasefire. US Central Command said it targeted air defence systems, missile and drone storage sites, and naval infrastructure. In response, Iran reportedly struck American bases in Kuwait and Bahrain, and three civilians died in Ahvaz, state media reported. Oil prices spiked on the fresh fighting and new sanctions on Iranian oil. Trump warned of harsher retaliation if attacks continue and accused Iran’s leadership of “playing dirty.”
