Wike Announces June Handover of Key FCT Road Projects
The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Barr. Ezenwo Nyesom Wike, has inspected several major roads and confirmed they will be ready for commissioning by June. He noted Lubriks has completed 98% of the Renewed Hope City Access Road and that contractors are finalising asphalt and street lights on the 17 km Old Keffi Road. These upgrades will ease travel from Saburi, Gwagwa, Idu and Karmo to the Outer Northern Expressway. Wike praised Arab Contractors and Gilmor for their work on the FCT Highway 105 and the Kuje-Gwagwalada Road phase 1. He said these projects are proof of good governance in action. He also commented on Rivers State politics, welcoming Kingsley Chinda’s APC nomination and faulting outgoing Governor Siminalayi Fubara for breaking a prior agreement by picking the nomination form.
