Apostle Ayoola Oladele Survives Rat Poisoning, Returns to Pulpit at Dawn
At around 2 a.m. on June 20, Apostle Ayoola Oladele felt a sudden headache before preaching. In the dark, he mistakenly ingested rat poison thinking it was his usual headache relief. He soon realized the danger as severe stomach pains set in. He quietly offered a personal prayer and followed what he believed was divine guidance to drink holy water, anointing oil, and milk. His team located a nearby private hospital where doctors administered antipoison injections, antibiotics, and fluids. He endured multiple bouts of vomiting and diarrhea but gradually recovered. By dawn, he was well enough to lead a three-hour ministry session and later return to his own church along the Oshodi axis. He credits God’s mercy and the power of prayer, especially through his ministry’s special program, for sparing his life and restoring his strength.
