Okechukwu Urges INEC to Safeguard Credible Elections Ahead of 2027

Okechukwu Urges INEC to Safeguard Credible Elections Ahead of 2027

APC founding member Osita Okechukwu has urged the Independent National Electoral Commission to protect its independence and deliver free, fair and credible elections in 2027. He rejected opposition claims that INEC favours the ruling party, saying the APC's electoral victories were earned through democratic legitimacy. According to him, transparent polls are necessary to build public trust and ensure voters' choices are respected. Okechukwu also called on political parties and other stakeholders to conduct peaceful campaigns, obey electoral laws and avoid putting pressure on the commission.
