Langtang North Council Debunks Budget Rumours, Shares Project Progress
The Langtang North Local Government Council has asked residents to rely on official budget documents and avoid misleading interpretations circulating online. The council clarified that the 2026 budget outlines proposed projects, planned expenditures and expected revenues. It explained that project listings do not imply completion or full funding but represent stages from planning through implementation. Current works include construction of the Supervisory Councillors’ Office, completion of procurement for solar streetlights, fencing at Zamko Market and borehole drilling ahead of sanitation facility installation. The council will soon launch regular project updates with photos, locations and status reports. Residents were urged to distinguish inherited initiatives from those started after October 2024. The chairman reaffirmed his commitment to transparency, prudent resource management and impactful projects across education, infrastructure, healthcare, agriculture and youth development.
