Nigerian singer Emoseh Khamofu, known as Bloody Civilian, shares the meaning behind her stage name. She told a music podcast that her name honors victims of violence and symbolizes resilience. Both of her ancestral villages in northern Nigeria have been affected by military attacks. “The story behind the name Bloody Civilian is really just inspired by military violence in the North.
